This week we are going to be working on a 4 day long project looking at endangered species across the globe. Each student will be completing a research assignment that answers various questions about their species. Once they have compiled ALL their research they will assemble a poster that displays all this information. Each student will choose either one of the species provided on the information cards on the tables OR choose one species from the World Wildlife Website. Here the students will find various species listed as Endangered, Critically Endangered or Vulnerable. If you stayed behind we watched a movie called, "Wolves in Paradise". If you were on the ski trip you will not need to make this assignment up. Students worked on a reading activity looking at an invasive species known as Cane Toads.

For those who stayed behind you worked on the Predator/Prey graphing activity and worked on homework for the week. Today is also Valentine's Day!! The students prepped for our field trip tomorrow by looking at the science behind how snowflakes form. The students then created their own snowflakes using the grid paper and the 60 degree angles.

Today we are going to do just that! Use the steps below to complete the assignment: 1. Log into Utah Compose 2. Find the Prompt (under "practice") titled, "Environmental Constructed Response" 3. Choose one of the articles below that discusses environmental issues 4. Write a constructed response using the prompt below...
